العنف الزوجي بين تأويلات تبيحه وقوانين تشرعنه

بالرغم من النضال الطويل الذي قامت -وما زالت تقوم- به الحركات النسوية المتتابعة، لا تزال ظاهرة العنف المنزلي من الشريك مشكلة تواجه النساء في مصر، حيث تتعرض ٥ مليون و٦٠٠ ألف امرأة إلى العنف على يد الزوج أو الخطيب سنويًا، وفقًا لمسح التكلفة الاقتصادية للعنف القائم على النوع الاجتماعي الذي أصدره الجهاز المركزي للتعبئة والإحصاء عام ٢٠١٥

العمل المنزلي بين الشخصي والعام

بعد زواجي، أصبحتُ ربة منزل بدوام جزئي نظرًا لعملي بدوام كامل خارج المنزل. وبقدر امتناني لزوجي الذي بدأ في تعلم كيف ندير هذا البيت الجديد سويًا، لنجلس في مكان نظيف و نأكل وجبة دافئة بعد يوم عمل شاق، بقدر ما أحسست بغضب عارم تجاه الضغط غير المباشر الذي أتعرض له. فعادة ما تُنصح النساء بالبحث عن عمل يعينها على "تحقيق التوازن" بين الواجبات المنزلية والعمل، وهي قولة حق يراد بها الإفقار والتقييد، ولا يُطالب بها أرباب الأسر من الرجال أبدًا. فوجدت أحلامي وخططي تنكمش بشكل تلقائي لتناسب هذا التوازن المزعوم. هذا، وأنا لم أصبح أمًا بعد، فكيف إذا دخل الأطفال المعادلة؟

Reflecting on the Justice and Beauty in Muslim Marriage Book Launch in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

On 6 Dec, 2022, Musawah organised a launch of the multi-authored book Justice and Beauty in Muslim Marriage: Towards Egalitarian Ethics and Laws in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The launch was held in conjunction with the transformational course, Islam & Gender Equality and Justice (I-nGEJ). In attendance were activists and advocates from Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Somaliland, Uganda and of course, Ethiopia.
