- Want to publish your piece on our blog? Topics especially welcomed include:
- Your personal narrative as a Muslim woman with a focus on the lived experiences of Muslims in your local context
- التطورات في قوانين الأسرة المسلمة أو قوانين الأحوال الشخصية
- Women’s rights/human rights/gender equality and
Islamic/Muslim feminism(s) - الحركات الداعية للعدالة الجندرية
- تفسيرات القرآن أوالحديث الداعمة للعدالة والمساواة
- We give precedence to authors who are Muslim or are currently working on Muslim women’s issues.
- We do not accept any forms of plagiarism and are currently only accepting original pieces with no AI writing assistance;
- E-mail your pitch or your submission as a word document to [email protected] with the subject: BLOG PITCH SUBMISSION TO MUSAWAH
- Pitches must be a 1-2 sentence of what you plan to write about. When submitting a pitch, include links to 2-3 previous writing samples. Note that once you submit your pitch, our team will contact you via email if we require more elaboration or clarity on it.

- If selected, your post may go through an editing process, which may include edits on angle, content, as well as writing edits. We will work with you to ensure the post remains in your voice.
- All posts must be original and submitted in English or Arabic. We will accept other languages, only if you can provide a translation to either English or Arabic.
- على المقال أن يتراوح ما بين ٨٠٠-١٥٠٠ كلمة.
- لا نقبل أي عمل يحتوي على سرقات أدبية وكتابية.
- Where relevant, we encourage you to cite your sources, in the form of hyperlinks where relevant in the text.
- If you have suggestions for accompanying images or multimedia, please attach them in your email.
- في حالة نشر مقالتكم/ن على مدونة شخصية أو تابعة لمؤسسة ما، يرجى مشاركتنا ذلك ومراجعة إذا كان لديكم/ن الإذن لإعادة النشر على مدونتنا.
- Please include a short bio (50–100 words), including social media handles, if you would like Musawah to tag you later. It is also possible to publicly remain anonymous.

- We pay an honorarium of USD 200 per article, that is paid upon the submission of the final draft.
