Musawah Thematic Report on Lebanon (2015)

In November 2015, the Musawah Thematic Report on Lebanon was submitted to the CEDAW Committee for review at its 62nd Session in Geneva, Switzerland. In this report, Musawah examines Lebanese laws and practices that enforce de jure (direct) and de facto (indirect) discrimination against women in the following areas: Equal rights & responsibilities in marriage (gender stereotypes); male guardianship; access to divorce; custody & guardianship of children.
