VIDEO: Musawah Global Meeting 2009: Opening Video

Musawah (‘Equality’ in Arabic), a global movement for equality and justice in the Muslim family, was launched at a Global Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in February 2009. This opening video documents why equality in the family is necessary and possible, based on the principles of equality in Islam and the decades of activism and reform that have occurred in Muslim countries and contexts around the world.
