The capacity building program is designed to share accessible, actionable, and groundbreaking knowledge on Islam and gender with diverse stakeholders to reform discriminatory Muslim family laws and practices.
Through workshops and outreach to activists and civil society organizations in Muslim contexts, Musawah provides a space for engagement, idea exchange, and mutual learning, allowing allies to share experiences, seek answers, and build solidarity networks.
Additionally, Musawah fosters public debate on religion, law, and policy while offering support and building a community of care for participants, alumni, and resource persons to drive meaningful change.
In our Knowledge Building work, we strive to break down complex concepts into understandable language. We want everyone, regardless of their familiarity with these topics, to feel at home here. Let’s embark on a journey together.
We seek out participants who can multiply Musawah’s voice, accelerate our impact, and build the movement, with the goal of developing their knowledge and skills through several courses and over an extended period so they can apply their learning in their individual contexts.
